Guest Speaker : Pastor Caleb Leong is the founder of " THE GATE" Ministry of Malaysia. He is running a prayer house in SS2. He is a itinerant pastor teaching 'The 3rd hour prayer' on the spiritual approach to the throne of God. He has conducted 'The 3rd Day Seminar' on the significant of the 3rd mentioned in the bible in relation to the spiritual maturity of a Christian. He is also a founding leader and pastorial advisor of MBDC (Missional Business Development Center) in Malaysia.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Brothers,

There had been suggestions that the name "CalvaryMen" is no longer appropriate for our group. We are now from at least 6 different churches and we do have some brothers who were not previously from Calvary Church. Although the word "Calvary" is not exclusive to Calvary Church, the continued association in the mind of some can be confusing. Therefore it had been suggested the name be changed. One suggestion is "Men In Christ". This is in line with our tagline, "Building and reaching men in Christ", Ephesians 2:10. I would also support that name with the following from my commentary Bible:

IN CHRIST JESUS.

Every "faithful" believer has life only "in Christ Jesus."

1. The terms "in Christ Jesus," "in the Lord," "in Him," etc., occur 100 times in Paul's writings (36 time in Ephesians). "in Christ" means that the believer now lives and acts in the sphere of Christ Jesus. Union with Christ is the redeemed Christian's new environment. "In Christ" believers have conscious communion with their Lord, and in this relationship with Christ is the most important thing in Christian experience. Union with Christ comes as a gift of God through faith.

2. The Bible contrasts our new life "in Christ" with our old unregenerated life "in Adam." Whereas the old life is characterized by disobedience, sin, condemnation and death, our new life "in Christ" is characterized by salvation, life in the Spirit, abundant grace, righteousness and eternal life.

MiCF 5th Prayer Retreat 2012

Men in Christ ,

We are pleased to inform you that our 5^th MiCF Prayer Retreat would be on Nov 13th to 15th, 2012 (3D2N during the Deepavali/Awal Muharam holiday). The venue would be a very nice resort place at Karak Orchard Heights, which is one and half hour drive from KL. (See attached photo of venue where we are in for a treat with prayer, fellowship, durian and fresh fish).

Kindly book these dates in your diary as we are now finalizing a speaker, among whom we are contacting are (1) Pastor Alfred Tais, Executive Secretary of NECF in charge of BM works (He can share both the spiritual and political development in Sabah and Sarawak as he works with both the spiritual and political leaders there. It will be a time of prayer for them) and (2) Dr Thomas Cheng who moves in prophetic and evangelistic ministries in Russia, Europe and lately Taiwan.

The scenery there is a breathtaking view and as good as Wong San / Yellow Mountain in China.

Please prepare our annual leave for this coming Prayer Retreat from Nov 13th to 15th for 3 days 2 nights. This year you are allow to bring along your family. First come first serve because only limited rooms are available. We booked 2 bungalows with 3 rooms and 4 rooms each. Will finalize the cost but not expensive don't worry.

Good news:

1- Durian will be given for free with satisfactory level for 3 days

2- You may want to fish at the pond & pls remember to bring your fishing gears

3- Enjoy all kinds of fruit for free in this orchard

4- Fresh air and very quiet suitable for prayer retreat

5- Provide 5 fresh water pond fish for 2 nights for dinner and cook it at Karak town
